For the 4th, I took the boys to the parade in Vale. It was a small parade, but Lane scored a lot of candy. This was his first parade. He was scared of the first police car siren and then was fine after that. He picked up really fast on the collecting candy thing. Owen even enjoyed collecting a few pieces. Lane liked seeing the horses and fire trucks. My favorite part was a float that rolled onions off a chute for the adults to collect. Dan had to work a 12 hour shift, but we had fun watching a movie after he got home. The first picture is them after eating suckers from the parade. I took the picture with my phone, so it is not the best quality. Owen was asleep so we didn't go to the fireworks in Ontario.

banging in the neighborhood. They fin
ally stopped around midnight. On Saturday, we went to the Boise Zoo. It is a small zoo, but just the right size for our two boys. They both had fun looking at the animals with their favorite exhibits being the penguins, monkeys, and meerkats. We spent the rest of the day hanging out at home and helping Dan get ready to go to Salem for his training. He left this morning. He will be flying home Friday evening. We are planning to stay in Boise that night for our anniversary and then come home Saturday morning. He will be here for the weekend and fly back Sunday evening. Then he will be gone for 4 more weeks and then be home.

Oh wow 5 weeks. That's a long training. I'm sorry he has to be gone for so long. Good luck handling those boys on your own. I hope the training is good for Dan too. The boys look so cute and Owen looks so big. I can't believe he's walking around. Time Flies!!! I wish you guys lived closer. We miss you.
I so wish you were coming to the reunion. Penelope would love to play with your boys. We will have to come and visit soon. Hopefully we can get our remodeling finished so we can have some time to play before winter and baby comes. Oh, Penelope really enjoyed watching the video of your boys and the meerkat.
