Camping at Burnt River

We did another camping trip to Unity.  This time we stayed on the other side of Unity at Burnt River.  We went with 4 other families, all guys Dan works with, the Griffith's, Jacobs', Johnson's, and Frates'.  There were 27 total people, 10 adults and 17 kids, and 6 dogs.  The boys had a blast playing in the river, riding bikes, doing a scavenger hunt, playing cops and robbers, making smores, and making crafts.  The guys decided to make an area of the river a little deeper than it was to mimic a swimming pool.  They had to move this huge log to do so and it kept them busy for a while and the kids had fun watching.  They finally got it moved and were pleased with their project.  It was nice to get a break from the hot weather.  Each family took a turn doing a meal, which worked out great.  Less cooking and cleaning up for all the ladies.  Jackie decided this trip that she belonged in the camp chair like the people and we all got a laugh about that.  Our family has enjoyed 4 camp trips this year.  We sure love our old but comfortable trailer.  We load it up with food and clothes and off we go.  The best part is that we are creating great family memories.
